The Paper Lantern: Normandale's Literary Magazine

There are presently no open calls for submissions.

The submission window for the Spring 2021 edition of the Paper Lantern is open and will remain open through midnight, March 17, 2021. All work is reviewed anonymously and acceptance is based on literary merit.

Submission is open to registered NCC students only. Do not include any identifying information within the body or margins of  your work. Multiple submissions in multiple categories are accepted. However, contributors are limited to a maximum of 5 poems, 3 prose pieces and 5 works of art. Please note that each title/work must be submitted  separately.

The Paper Lantern does not provide written feedback of individual  submissions. However, being present at Normandale's Creative Writing Club  meetings during craft-based discussions of various works is an excellent source  of feedback. For more information about club meetings, go to http://www.thepaperlantern.org/about/?SSScrollPosition=199.

The Paper Lantern is the student literary journal of Normandale Community College, 9700 France Avenue South, Bloomington, MN 55431. It is edited by the members of the Creative Writing Club. The project is made possible by the Normandale Humanities Division.
